We know that when it comes to our sleep, one size doesn’t fit all… your ears are also unique!
Here’s how to fit your Nightbuds correctly for comfortable sleep, all night long.
- Before wearing, remove any obstructions around your ears such as jewellery or hair. And without sounding too gross, it helps to ensure your ears are nice and clean. It’s important to make sure that the earbuds are comfortable, and that the sensors make good contact with the skin. Any dirt or obstructions could make for a less comfortable fit, but also lead to poor signal which will impact sleep monitoring.
- With the Nightbuds the correct way up (the Kokoon logo should be upright), hold them towards the end of the cables, and carefully bring the cables over the back of your head and & tops of the ears.
- Position the tip of the ear bud on the opening of the ear canal, and gently push in a forward motion. Place the wing of the earbud towards the back of your ear. Your Nightbuds should now feel snug.
Finding the right size sleeve
No ear is the same. Your Nightbuds will include a set of 5 different size earbud sleeves for you to try. It can take a bit of time to find the best size sleeve for you, so take your time and experiment with different sizes.
To find your best fit, we’d advise sleeping with one particular size for a night or two, to get a sense of their comfort levels and how your ears feel when you wake up. If you wake having felt any discomfort in your ear, we’d suggest taking a break for night between trying another size.
The smaller sizes are generally more comfortable, whereas the larger sizes may be more superior for noise blocking, bass response and more secure in the ear. Try them out and find your best fit!
Removing your Nightbuds
If you find that the sleeve part is staying stuck in your ear, when removing your Nightbuds, avoid pulling the cables to remove them. Instead, place your thumb and/or forefinger on or behind the bud itself and gently shift to remove from the ear.
