Why can’t I see Recommended for sleep/Most effective for me in the library?
If you're not seeing our Recommended for Sleep or Most effective for me categories in the app library, ensure you have filled in your personal details in About Me.
To do this, in the app go to Settings > Account > About Me.
Make sure to select Sleep Quality as one of your goals.
It will take 10 sleep sessions to begin seeing your Most effective for me tracks, as our algorithm gathers data on what tracks help you best.
I can't see my detailed sleep history
If you have slept with your Kokoon Relax headphones, and did not get a detailed sleep history, please ensure you are using version 2.6 of the app. You can check your current app version in Settings > Version info.
Ensure your headphones have a full charge before sleep, so they do not power off in the night.
Allow the app some time to sync your data. This may take over 10 minutes to refresh, and will require an internet connection. If you have not seen your data after 10 minutes, try swiping down to refresh the page.
If you slept for under 2.5 hours using the headphones, the app will not have enough information to provide a full breakdown of your sleep. You will only see a Sleep onset score and a breakdown of time spent awake and asleep.
A detailed historical view of sleep data will only be available if you used the Kokoon Relax app and Kokoon audio for sleep. The option to use external audio will be part of our next app update.

My sleep history is incorrect and cuts off early
If you use an Android device, you may find your sleep tracking stops during the night, even though you have used the headphones all night.
Unfortunately, some mobile phone manufacturers have set their device OS to stop background tasks after a certain period, to improve battery life. This will affect the Kokoon Relax app.
What can I do?
If this is an issue affecting your Kokoon Relax use, please edit the following settings in your phone:
- On Android 8 there is battery optimization settings for all apps. Go to: Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization > App list. Here a user can find the Kokoon app and turn the setting to “Don’t Optimise”. Note this setting will reset after every install of the app so once an app is updated a user would have to change this again if needed. The location of battery optimisation settings may be different, depending on your device.
- On Android 9 there is a feature called adaptive battery which limits battery for apps that might be in the background. This can be turned off and may help.
